HELP US SHARE THE ENCOUNTERS THAT FORM DISCIPLES!
BCF's Encounter Project is gathering the stories of LGBT/SSA+ Catholic missionary disciples. We're discovering WHAT WORKS to form gay people in lifelong faith. We need your help to share these stories far and wide!
With your help of a recurring monthly or one-time donation, we can gather survey data and in-depth interview responses to shape:
guidance on best practices (and "worst practices"!) for Catholic ministry leaders.
video testimonials, individual profiles, and other chances to meet and be inspired by the diverse stories of real gay Catholic disciples.
devotional materials for gay believers and seekers, grounding faith in confidence that "gay and Catholic" can go together.
conference presentations, priest study day curricula, and much more!
We need your help—this work is time- and labor-intensive, and right now, BCF personnel are doing it with no funding beyond your generous gifts! We believe this is one of the most important tasks we can perform. Often, when we work with Catholic leaders, we discover that they have NEVER encountered the stories of gay people who live as Catholic missionary disciples! How can they begin to ask HOW to find and form gay disciples if they've never seen it done?
So many people want to know what it looks like when gay people are fully welcomed and formed in the mission of the Church! Can you help us show them?
Thank you for your support of Building Catholic Futures! You are helping Catholic institutions to foster discipleship, to accompany seekers, and to create a brighter future for the whole Church.
