In the year since BCF launched, we’ve learned a lot about what Catholic dioceses, schools, and parishes need to help gay people thrive as missionary disciples. We learned what we can do—and we learned what others need to hear from us, to build trust in an area of intense controversy and conflict.
Now we’ve redesigned our website to bring what we’ve learned to you, and help you more effectively share our work with others.
* We’ve made it easier to find our Mission and Vision.
* We’ve revamped our “What We Do” section, to help you more easily see and share what we offer to dioceses; parishes, schools, and more; and LGBT/SSA+ Catholics.
* And we’ve made many other changes!
Poke around and see what’s new. We especially want you to notice our new Resources drop-down, which includes BCF’s Five Building Blocks, Start the Conversation, and Expect Gay Discipleship—and a new Video Library.
Our first posted video is a podcast we recorded with Bishop Oscar Cantú of San José. You already know that one of our biggest fundraising goals is to share our message through professionally-produced, easily-navigated short- and long-form videos. If you want the library to grow, consider what you can give!
We’ll be posting some short videos on our Instagram account soon—including our first video featuring a BCF Baby! Don’t forget to subscribe to see how BCF is fostering gay discipleship and serving the next generation.
And look for a special message today, December 9, the feast of St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin. St. Juan Diego embodies one of BCF’s central ideas. Find out more at our Insta!
